I don’t write because I have it all figured out. I write because I’m still in the middle of it – still waiting on promises God spoke decades ago, still discovering rooms in my own castle, still learning what it means to trust His timing when mine runs out. These articles are honest reflections on what Scripture says about waiting, suffering, faith, and hope. Some respond to songs that stopped me in my tracks. Some wrestle with passages I can’t shake. Some are just me thinking out loud about what it looks like to live with the drawbridge down instead of the walls up. About William James Meyer
William James Meyer is the author of Do You Live in a Castle? Breaking Free from the Walls That Hold You Hostage. He works in facilities management, traveling nationally to train and speak to diverse audiences. Since 1995, he’s also been a professional photographer. But his real work has been learning to dismantle the castle he built to protect himself from pain – a journey that began over 30 years ago when God told him to “teach My word.” He’s still discovering what that means. He lives with his wife Dawn on the Gulf Coast of Northwest Florida.
